17+ 125cc - Require L Plates, No Pillions, No motorway riding 17-19 125cc No L Plates, Pillions allowed and motorway riding A1
19-24 Any Bike (<46.6 BHP) No L Plates, Pillions allowed and motorway riding         A2
N.B. After 2 yrs or on reaching 24 you can go for A Cat and if required a theory test.
24+ Any Bike. No L Plates, Pillions allowed and motorway riding         A
N.B. If you hold a valid bike theory cert or had A1 or A2 for 2 yrs+, not required to retake theory.
